Product Description
N-propyl acetate is used as a solvent for plastics, resins, and cellulose esters. It is also moderately toxic and a dangerous fire hazard when exposed to strong oxidizers, sparks, flame, or heat. When heated to decomposition, it emits irritating fumes and acrid smoke. N-propyl acetate has a flash point of 58F, is less dense than water, and its vapors are heavier than air. It is highly miscible with common organic solvents, such as esters, ketones, glycols, and alcohols, but only slightly miscible in water.
